Hungry Lion subsidised the price of our 500ml bottled water as well as our Big Bite 2 to ensure everyone in Zambia had access to clean water and an affordable, quality meal while the markets were closed and other food options not available. Additionally, we donated K150’000 worth of cleaning supplies and sponsored 1000 meal vouchers to the soldiers cleaning up the city. We have also given free chlorine and hand sanitiser to our staff, to help clean their homes and keep their families safe. K180’000 was spent on educational leaflets and training to help our staff and customers make cleaner choices for their own health and safety. We have also given 10’000 free Big Bite 2 meal vouchers to the people in the most affected neighborhoods to bring much-needed relief. The distribution of these meal vouchers were done across centres where vaccinations took place to encourage residents to combat the disease.
